No matter what phase you’re at in life, I recommend you find a mentor. A mentor’s job isn’t to give you the answers, tell you what to do, or to give you the guide to how to get where they are. A good mentor will be like a sounding board. Someone who can help you talk through your thoughts, ask you thought-provoking questions, and find connection in both a professional and personal way. It also helps if they’re a badass.
I had many mentors at Microsoft, but none compare to Marie Groover, aka “The Corporate Psychic.” Marie is a leader, a builder, and lucky for me, a friend. I had the honor of joining her on her podcast, The Spiritual 9-5, where we discuss everything from the corporate life to the afterlife.
